A very promising selection from ADRIAN STRAVER, Emmerich, Germany; narrow upright growth habit, slim and densely branched; 2-3 m in height and 0.7 m wide; foliage broadly oval, leathery, glossy dark green, contrasting beautifully with the reddish-copper young growth. Flowers appear in 20 cm long, pure-white racemes in May to June; the round fruits are black. The evolution of a premium Cherry Laurel – tolerant of urban conditions and all soils, ideal for hedges or as a solitary specimen, mass plantings, as a windbreak, as an evergreen screen, or for mobile plant applications.
