CEPHALANTHUS occidentalis

Deciduous, bushy shrub with 1,2 m to 2 m height; leaves with 6 cm to 15 cm length, elliptic-lanceolate acuminated, with gleaming green surface and brighter bottom side, opposite or 3-4 in swirls; flowers in close, yellow-white, petiolate with up to 3 cm broad heads from July to September at this years wood - an outstanding shrub becuase of the sputnik like flowers, very hardy and insect magnet.
