SAMBUCUS nigra ´Black Lace´® (´Eva´)Ⓢ
Another highlight from the HRI hybridisation programme since ´Black Beauty´. Leaves finely divided, green-red as a young leafy shoot, subsequently a constant deep dark red, lightly glossy. In magnificent contrast are the wonderful, up to 15 cm wide, bright pink inflorescences, with a lemony fragrance, appearing in May/June. Fruits black and shiny, round, juicy, with a commercial value as all other elderberries. A robust, exotic looking cultivar for any situations, positions and soil; suitable as either a flowering ornamental or economic shrub. R. Zone 5a. European Plant Breeders´ rights EU 13679 - unauthorised propagation prohibited!
