Plant habit 1.5 to 1.8m in height and width, well-rounded; aromatic foliage, fingered, grey-green on the surface with deep violet-purple undersides, creating a beautiful contrast to the intense violet-blue, scented flowers that are produced from August to October in racemes up to 20 cm long, followed by conspicuous peppercorn-like fruits. An attractive late-summer bloomer for the garden, in the landscape and especially well-suited for containers – drought- and salt-tolerant, performs well in all soil types, a pollinator magnet.
